About us

Welcome to Tameside Conservatives, the home of the Conservative group and the official opposition on Tameside Council. We are here to hold the Labour-run Tameside Council to account and deliver for you and your values.

The Conservative group holds 7 of the 57 seats on Tameside Council and continues to grow. We currently represent the wards of Ashton Hurst, Hyde Godley, Hyde Werneth, and Stalybridge South. The Conservative Group Leader on Tameside Council is Cllr Doreen Dickinson, with Cllr Dan Costello serving as Deputy Leader.

For over 45 years, Tameside Council has been Labour-run. The Labour Group holds 48 out of 57 seats, but their support is dwindling after years of failure in education, health, housing, and the economy. The Conservatives have a plan to fix the borough, but we are always happy to listen to your views.

If you would like to help, become a member, or stand as a candidate, please join us and get in touch.
